👉 as the name implies this is the two mode to be expected like in other DR games and Roleplay of previous killing game Roleplay. where guests of the manor are trapped with the master of it Monoham. during this period will have murders, investigations, and trials, just like the games! There will be many mysteries present to solve, every chapter and in the storyline as a whole.
Here is what to be expected during a trial
- MOTIVES
- before every chapter (killing) there will be a motive to kill Monoham will announce then afterward a mod will have a sign-up for members to volunteer as either a killer or a victim.
- VOLUNTEERING
- when there’s no volunteers the mod would pick an killer(s) that would fit best for a chapters motive. once a killer is picked the blacken will pick out their victim they would like to kill. once picked the victim would be notified before hand
- PLANNING
- a ticket would be made by an admin with the killer(s) and victims(s) involved for the murder. while in the ticket have everyone involved will construct a document that explains exactly how the murder occured. Everyone pitches in! From here we’ll be able to formulate evidence and truth bullets.
- BDA
- once the murder is planned, there will be a short planned event or a surprise event in which students find the body. (the killer and victim will draw the discovered body once players enter a room)
- INVESTIGATION
- now that the investigation is going on guests (players) have few hours or so to collect truth bullets and formulate theories, to question characters in and out of character. this would take up about several days to a week to make sure everyone has their “tools” set and the trial proceeds as planned
- TRIAL
- before the trial begins everyone is able to vote on a date and time that fits them best to participate in. how long a trial would go depends if it would be 3 to fours at least if it goes overtime then it will go to the next day. during the trail characters will debate on who the killer is by using their truth bullets to defend their arguments in a fast pace script format.
- NONSTOP DEBATE
- This will be the most commonly used debate format. Students will, as implied, have a nonstop discussion about the murder. The students will lead this discussion mode.
- SCRUM DEBATE
- If mods find that the student body cannot come to a consensus on an issue, call for a scrum debate. Students will choose a side of the argument, and each side will have a time period when they can defend their case, followed by a refutation by the opposing side. At the end of the discussion, there will be a vote to determine what will be accepted as “true”.
- TRIAL COMPLETION
-
After time runs out, students will vote on who they believe the killer is. If they are correct, the killer is then executed (at which the killer gets to create). If the class is wrong, then they will receive a class-wide punishment. The student convicted will be taken away, and the real killer can choose freedom or repentance.

👉 Quiet Time is the second mode that we have in DG. Chronologically, it takes place before Killing Mode and starts again after a chapter trial This mode will be very lighthearted and focus on character interaction between the students and important NPCs; the death and despair found in Killing Mode will not be present. but a character death can affect people during this slow period of time
Though we understand that people typically search for DR based groups to involve themselves in murders and trials, please be aware that we will frequently make use of Quiet Time so all guests - dead or alive - can participate. While you obviously do not have to come to every event, please don’t solely be active in Killing Mode.

👉 this could be viewed as flavor text but it can help get a feel the roleplay that doesn’t feel like meta gaming. (there’s chances to use them in either mode btw) Options exist to both raise and lower your stats, such as temporary IC events, equipping items obtained from the store, etc
- Health Points (HP):
- this is a way to measure how much stamina a character would have when performing task that could be exhausting or have a chance of becoming sick if pushing themselves to their limit. that they couldn’t do anymore
- Strength (STR):
- as the name implies its asking how strong they are if built like a stick or built like a body builder. when performing tasks when that stat is in use like lifting or pushing an object.
- Agility (AGI):
- how fast is your character? are they quick to react or is there a delayed reaction which includes dodging if something is thrown at them or a trap gets set off
- Charisma (CHA):
- are they a charming person? how persuasive are they in a conversation? it might help them get more information out of a NPC in either mode however, it doesn’t fully decide on the outcome of a conversation in every interaction it does somewhat help tip it in your favor. so keep that in mind
- Intelligence (INT):
- how smart is your character? are they street smart or book smart? there are times when a challenge arises for a character when intelligence stat is needed that could get you a hint or two. but this up to the player with how they want to roleplay their character
- Perception (PER):
- how sharp of an eye do they have? do they notice every little detail or is it just surface level? perception is used mostly in investigations during pre-trial like if there’s hidden blood in the crime scene. but worry not, as there’s plenty of evidence that can be uncovered without having a perfect perception score!
